Hi, I'm behind LuneAster.

I work as a travel product designer by day. By night, I build the kind of Japan guides I wish existed when I first planned my own trips.

Why these guides exist

Most Japan travel content falls into two buckets: influencer vlogs that look beautiful but tell you nothing useful, and dense forum threads where the answer is buried on page 47.

LuneAster is the middle ground — structured PDFs with exact routes, real prices in yen, and practical advice that comes from actually being there.

My approach

I go there. Every guide is based on first-hand experience, not Reddit scraping.
I optimize for geography. Routes minimize backtracking. Hotels are picked for walking distance to transit, not for Instagram aesthetics.
I price everything. You should know your total trip cost before you book a flight.
No fluff, no ads. The PDFs are ad-free. I make money from guide sales and a few affiliate links — transparently disclosed.
